THE TEACHING
Home Tutorial is a highly involving way to learn Spanish. You will study
intensively in a natural and friendly environment. Leave academic
pressure behind, and immerse yourself in instructive classes,
conversation, extra curricular activities and, yes, lot’s of fun!
What are the programs? To begin with, your course will be tailored to
your needs, with the right teacher to assist you in learning Spanish,
for whatever reason you need it, be it for professional, personal or
academic use. Choose to study alone or with friends:
1. One-on-One classes: just you and your
teacher
2. Two-on-One classes: you, your partner or
a friend studying together with your teacher. Perfect for couples!
3. Three-on-One classes: you, plus two
friends or colleagues studying together with your teacher.
4. KIDS Program: home tutoring is excellent
for parents and children to study together.
Spanish Dialogues® has specialized teachers for kids and young adults from 3 to 18 years.
Are
there extra curricular activities? Yes. Although you will live and study
at your teacher’s home, you will have the possibility to meet other
students, if you want.
Spanish Dialogues® organizes extra curricular
activities for all the students attending a Home Tutorial program in
your host city. It’s an excellent way to meet people and make friends!
Some of our successful activities are
‘Erika’s
Cooking Class’, Wednesday Movie Night’,
The Round Table Discussion with a Prominent’,
‘The
Tequila Night’ and our ‘Bilingual
Exchange Program’.
Who will be my teachers?
Spanish Dialogues®’ primary concern is providing
you with the most suitable teacher, according to your objectives and
requirements. When enrolling, we'll ask about your interests and goals,
so we can find the teacher(s) with similar interests, background and
professional standing. All the teachers have been carefully selected by
Spanish Dialogues®
and receive a yearly training to be evaluated and
updated in the newest learning methods.
Which kind of students choose Home Tutorial? High schools students,
parents with kids, teachers, lawyers, professionals, university students,
executives, young people, older people…
How long should I stay? The minimum stay is one week but you can stay as
long as you wish. You can choose to receive either 3, 4, 5 or 6 hours of
class a day. Lessons usually take place in the morning from Monday to
Friday. However, we can make different arrangements.
Can I do volunteer work / internships? If you want to help as a
volunteer,
Spanish Dialogues®
can connect you with several organizations
looking for volunteers.
Through our parent company
Exito Mundi, we can arrange Internship programs for you. Please
contact us for more information.
Can I participate in a rural program?
Spanish Dialogues®
also offers Home
Tutorial in some small towns that are typical of countless villages
throughout Latin America. It’s an invaluable experience for those who
wish to experience life in a small traditional village or those who are
working with Hispanic immigrant populations in the United States.
Will I always be with the same teacher? For stays shorter than 2 weeks,
we suggest you stay with the same teacher. For longer stays, you might
want to change teachers. Of course, if a teacher doesn't meet your
expectations, we will change your teacher immediately!
Are there excursions? Yes. Shorter excursions are organized by your
teacher.
Spanish Dialogues®
organizes additional extra-curricular
activities and weekend excursions.
Do you use text books? Yes we use a text book to establish a structure.
Nevertheless, as your course is one-on-one, you can also choose to use
your own course materials.
Will I get academic credit or a certification? You will return home with
a Spanish Dialogues®
Certificate and a report completed by your teacher
which includes comments on progress and suggestions for further study.
This report is often enough to get academic credit in your home country.
However, we suggest you discus your institution’s requirements for
obtaining credit with your academic counselor: We will be pleased to
send all the information you might need. We also have specialized
teachers to prepare you for the D.E.L.E. exam, an official exam
recognized worldwide by universities, corporations and governments.
Details about DELE diplomas are available on
our special Dele
website.
