FAQ

Are there extra curricular activities? Yes. Although you will live and study at your teacher’s home, you will have the possibility to meet other students, if you want. Spanish Dialogues® organizes extra curricular activities for all the students attending a Home Tutorial program in your host city. It’s an excellent way to meet people and make friends!

Which kind of students choose Home Tutorial? High schools students, parents with kids, teachers, lawyers, professionals, university students, executives, young people, older people…

How long should I stay? The minimum stay is one week but you can stay as long as you wish. You can choose to receive either 3, 4, 5 or 6 hours of class a day. Lessons usually take place in the morning from Monday to Friday. However, we can make different arrangements.

Will I always be with the same teacher? For stays shorter than 2 weeks, we suggest you stay with the same teacher. For longer stays, you might want to change teachers. Of course, if a teacher doesn't meet your expectations, we will change your teacher immediately!

Are there excursions? Yes. Shorter excursions are organized by your teacher. Spanish Dialogues® organizes additional extra-curricular activities and weekend excursions.

Do you use text books? Yes we use a text book to establish a structure. Nevertheless, as your course is one-on-one, you can also choose to use your own course materials.

Will I get academic credit or a certification?  You will return home with a Spanish Dialogues® Certificate and a report completed by your teacher which includes comments on progress and suggestions for further study. This report is often enough to get academic credit in your home country. However, we suggest you discus your institution’s requirements for obtaining credit with your academic counselor: We will be pleased to send all the information you might need. We also have specialized teachers to prepare you for the D.E.L.E. exam, an official exam recognized worldwide by universities, corporations and governments. Details about DELE diplomas are available on our special Dele website.
